We are looking for a sharp, detail-driven Senior Business Analyst to anchor the requirements, configuration logic, and delivery rigor behind our Health Plan Benefit Management System — a critical platform that powers how health plans define, configure, and deliver benefit information across products and channels. You will live in the details — benefit rules, data models, schema changes, interface contracts, mapping documents — while keeping a clear line of sight to what each change means for our clients, our delivery timelines, and our product roadmap. You will be the bridge between Product, Engineering, QA, and our business clients, turning ambiguity into precise, buildable, testable requirements that the team can execute against with confidence.
What You Will Own:
• Requirements Discovery &Analysis — Partner with Product Management, business clients, and SMEs to elicit, analyze, and document complex healthcare benefit requirements. Translate business rules and benefit configurations into clear, unambiguous functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Data, Schema & Interface Documentation — Author and maintain detailed artifacts — data dictionaries, schema specifications, field-level mapping documents, interface contracts, and process flows — that engineering can build to and QA can test against without guesswork.
• Stakeholder Engagement — Run requirements workshops, walkthroughs, and review sessions with internal stakeholders and external business clients. Confidently represent the analysis and configuration view of the product in every room you walk into.
• UAT & Quality Ownership — Define test scenarios, partner with QA on test strategy, and lead User Acceptance Testing with business clients. Triage defects, validate fixes, and sign off on readiness before release.
• Clarity and Accountability — Write crisp, unambiguous documentation. Push back on vague requirements and hand-wavy solutions. Hold yourself — and the team —accountable to well-defined, testable outcomes.
Technical Fluency
You are comfortable in conversations about data models, APIs, schema design, and system integrations. You do not need to write the code, but you understand what is being built, can read a JSON or XML payload, ask the right questions, and recognize when something is being oversimplified.
Detail-Oriented but Strategic
You can zoom into a broken data mapping or a benefit configuration conflict, troubleshoot it with engineering, and then zoom back out to explain what it means for a client's enrollment cycle or a product release milestone. You hold both lenses simultaneously.
Builder Mentality
You have operated in an early-stage, fast-moving, or scaling environment where processes are still being built, priorities shift, and you are expected to figure things out — not just execute a playbook.
Strong Communication & Influence
You can take a technically complex topic and make it crisp for a business audience. You can take an ambiguous business need and make it actionable for engineering. You earn trust through preparation, precision, and follow-through.
Healthcare Domain Curiosity
You are genuinely interested in the mechanics of health plan benefits — how plans are structured, how benefits are configured, and how that information flows to members, providers, and downstream systems.
Requirements:
• 4-7 years of business analysis experience, with at least 2 years in a B2B software or data product environment
• Demonstrated experience authoring high-quality requirements artifacts: BRDs, FRDs, user stories with acceptance criteria, data dictionaries, and field-level mapping documents
• Hands-on experience with data models, schemas, APIs, and system integrations — able to read and reason about JSON, XML, and relational data structures
• Experience leading requirements workshops and User Acceptance Testing with external business clients or enterprise customers
• Working knowledge of SQL, sufficient to query data, validate behavior, and investigate defects independently
• Strong documentation and communication skills — you write clearly and structure your thinking well
Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to US healthcare —health plans, benefits administration, EDI, HIPAA, or related domains
• Familiarity with benefit configuration systems, plan setup workflows, or member/provider data platforms
• Experience with Agile/Scrum very and tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or Confluence
